The APEC 2011 meetings are scheduled to conclude in November Leaders Week, scheduled from 7 November through 13 November in Hawaii, USA.

After months of pre-meetings throughout the United States, including a set of meetings in September in San Francisco, Leaders and ministers from the 21 countries of the Asian Pacific Economic Cooperation are scheduled to conclude this year's meetings in Hawaii. The United States is the host country for the first time since 1993.

The meetings start with APEC Business Advisory Council (ABAC) IV on 7 November, continue with the Concluding Senior Officials Meeting (CSOM) on 8 November, the Finance Ministers Meeting on 10 November, the CEO Summit on 10 November, the APEC Ministerial Meeting on 11 November, and the 18th APEC Economic Leaders' Meeting on 12-13 November.

Meanwhile, the Asia-Pacific Business Symposium, a two-day series of workshops and sponsored by the Pacific Basin Economic Council (PBEC), the East-West Center (EWC) and supported by the APEC Business Advisory Council (ABAC) is scheduled for 9-10 November in Honolulu.

At the CEO Summit in 2010 in Japan, USA President Barack Obama addressed the leaders, noting the continuing significance and importance of APEC and an increasing need for greater cooperation. "In the 21st century, the security and prosperity of the American people is linked inextricably to the security and prosperity of Asia," Obama said
